Challenges & solutions
For banks
If a debtor becomes insolvent, the financing bank must realise the secured loan or the collateral itself – efficiently and at the best possible price. For this purpose, Debitos provides a realisation platform that meets the strict compliance requirements of banks: the necessary technical infrastructure, a consistently documented bidding process and direct access to qualified investors. Because the auction is open and transparent, price discovery is traceable and broad market outreach is documented.
For insolvency practitioners
In proceedings, an insolvency practitioner needs a legally sound and efficient route to realising real estate that is in line with creditors' interests. Via the Debitos platform, broad market outreach can be transparently evidenced – every step of the bidding process is documented. This reduces the administrative effort and the costs of the proceedings while maximising the proceeds for the insolvency estate. Instead of three to six months via traditional routes, the expected time to sale is three to eight weeks.
For creditors
A creditor holds a claim against an insolvent company and would have to wait for their dividend until the proceedings are concluded. Via the platform, they can instead sell the claim and receive a discounted purchase price promptly. The sale is conducted entirely digitally via the browser, and the claim is offered to the same Europe-wide investor network as all other asset classes.
